lofatlabs

lofatlabs is, well, me. Hi, Nick Anderson... nice to meet you. That's me in the picture. lofatlabs has been a dream of mine since sometime in 2006. A lot of people ask me, "What does lofatlabs stand for or mean?" Well, it's Nick Andersonquite simple really. lofatlabs stands for simple, hassle free agreements. Think of it this way.. I have trimmed the fat from my operation. There are no lengthy contracts, no "I can't do that right now, I'm too busy" (although sometimes I wish I could say that), just a nice guy that wants to make your project reflect who you or your company is.

Aside from a figurative sense, lofatlabs also steers clear of 'literal' fat. Too much Flash, for example is fat... too many effects on images and photographs is fat. lofatlabs works on simplicity and likes it that way.

Now that you've learned what lofatlabs is about, it's time for a history lesson.

The whole idea of running and maintaining a website came when I had an idea for injury tracking software on the web. You see, I'm a certified athletic trainer. My current job gets me by, but the dream is to become a full time graphic and web designer with a few other projects thrown in to mix things up a bit.

My initial project was called 'Athletic Webware'. If you're familiar with the old site it was very much like that... ok, the old 'lofatlabs.com' is the same code as athletic webware with different images. BUT... I swear to you that AWW looked a hell of a lot better than the old 'lofatlabs.com'.

Skip ahead a couple years and I start to take an interest in photography. Eventually I come to realize that my style of photography won't make me a ton of money and weddings are the last thing I want to do. This is where the idea of the 'labs' came in. "Why can't I have different areas of a business and incorporate them all together?" So, here we are at today... the current lofatlabs. Now, get away from all this wordiness and check out the rest of the site... hope to hear from y... hello?
